Our Story
L’AMARUE didn’t start in a lab. It started in our kitchen out of love and frustration.
My daughter Ande was struggling with rosacea and acne, and nobody had answers, including her including her dermatologist. Nothing helped – not the diets, not the questionable prescriptions, and not the expensive and toxic products. So, what’s a mom to do?
I took matters into my own hands—literally. 18 months of deep diving into biochemistry, a whole lot of stubbornness, a hair net, and my kitchen counter that looked very questionable with scales and white powders... My goal? To get to the root cause of her unsolvable skin issues, not just put a bandaid on them.
After a year and a half of formulation, the breakthrough came: a bioactive compound derived from cruciferous vegetables, designed to work with your skin's skin's natural processes, not against them. The results were undeniable—Ande’s skin transformed, mine did too (hello, glow in my 40s...okay, 50’s!). Soon, friends, family, and even dermatologists were asking for more. Our very first tester said, "Patent that sh*t!"—so we did.
But something else happened too. The more we learned about the beauty industry, the more we realized how many products we all use that either do nothing, actively make issues worse, or create entirely new problems.
And even worse? Many ingredients considered "safe" on their own become toxic—even carcinogenic—when combined. No one is talking about this.
So, Ande and I decided we had a mission. We built L’AMARUE differently. We combine the rigor of pharma-grade innovation with the heart of a mother who refused to accept "good enough,” and genuine desire to make beauty about your not about how many products you buy or use. Fewer, better products.
We only use the best in class ingredients, formulated not to interact or cause other issues, in the fewest products possible. We only add products when we find new bioactives that we believe serve different purposes, or from customer requests.
